The journey from being in a school mindset to one aspiring to a robust college career is a difficult one, especially in an immigrant family like ours. As the first applicant to the US college system, our daughter worked with Beth in her freshman year in high school. In addition to the abrupt transition from middle school to high school, her guidance was critical in balancing the academic requirements of high school and maintaining a college-ready trajectory – both for curricular and extracurricular activities. As freshman year ends, we seem to be off to a great start in our quest for a successful college quest, in no small part due to her guiding philosophy while helping with concrete insights and feedback.
