Do You Have to Send Updated Transcripts After You Have Submitted Your Applications?
Short answer: YES.
After you submit your applications, you are obligated to update your applications, and that includes sending updated transcripts via LSAC while you’re still waiting for final decisions.
And before you start classes in law school, you will be required to submit any final transcripts, if you haven’t already.
I’ve seen a lot of bad advice on Reddit and elsewhere telling you otherwise. Here’s the problem:
If you don’t send updated transcripts and grades, that will be considered a material omission and can get you blacklisted. If a school has already made you an offer and you haven’t submitted updated transcripts, they can retract that offer.
It’s not worth messing around with that.
P.S. Application advice on Reddit is often the equivalent of 4th graders teaching 3rd graders sex ed.
